The Adult Vocal Choir is made up of men and women from our congregation. It's a small choir but very dedicated. The choir rehearses once a week and sings in every service from September through June. They also sing on special occasions like Christmas Eve and Maundy Thursday.
The choir sings in a variety of styles, including classical, pop, rock and gospel. The choir is usually accompanied by the director on the piano or organ. Occasionally, the choir sings with the bell choir. Sometimes, there are instrumentalists playing the accompaniment.
The choir is always glad to welcome new members. Anyone interested in joining the choir should talk to the director, Dan LaBar, after the service. Or, you may contact him by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Adult Bell Choir is presently made up of eleven people standing at the bell tables and ringing handbells. The church owns a set of Malmark Handbells which span three octaves, from the big bells up to the small ones. Each person holds two bells, which may be rung separately or together. There are other bells on the table, which may be picked up and rung. Each person reads the music in order to play the bells at the right time
The bell choir plays pieces in a variety of styles. Often, the pieces are arrangements of hymn tunes. Sometimes, the bell choir is accompanied by the choir or certain instrumentalists.
The bell choir is also glad to welcome new members. Anyone can learn to play the bells, even with no previous experience. Please talk to the director after the service, or contact him by email at email@example.com.
